WPT Slovenia 2011: The local player Miha Travnik as new champion

Having been in the shadow of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker played at Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, the second stage of the season 10 of the World Poker Tour held in Slovenia was finally an very interesting event. Hot confrontation have indeed been held between the players who came expressly to honor this edition held in Slovenian soil. In fact, the appointment of poker enthusiasts that took place during the five days of Sunday 17 to Thursday, July 21, 2011 saw a low turnout of 141 players, which meant that only the first nine players have been paid at the end of the competition.

This Slovenian stop of the WPT Season 10 ended peacefully. It took two days to determine the winner of this circuit. So it was the local player Miha Travnik, who distinguished himself among the nine finalists who competed in the last round. Thus, the honor of the host country was defended at the end of the tournament thanks to the talent of one of its native. During the head's up, he got rid of Vincenzo Natale after having eliminated three other competitors. With a difference of 2,000,000 chips, Travnik cared first to catch up his delay before snatching the final victory in the hands of the chipleader. This success earned him a gain of € 84,500 plus a ticket of € 25,500 for the WPT World Championship in 2012.
