Global Poker Index: Jason Mercier at the top of rankings

The league of Annie Duke established a system of ranking of the best poker players who will be among the competitors for the Epic Poker League, it's named Global Poker Index. This is a ranking based on the counting results achieved by the some 300 selected players, during the last 36 months. Several criteria were considered in this ranking during the selection of players who have the privilege to appear in this list as the buy-in, the number of field present in the poker room where they played, the amount of earnings and the final result. Note that a weekly ranking will be issued and to this end, the Global Poker Index or GPI will work with the famous USA Today which will publish the results every week.

So for this first classification, Jason Mercier throne in the first place. He currently holds the highest point of the ranking with 2459.89 points. He accumulated great deeds in recent years. At the second position, there is the French number 1 Bertrand "Elky" Grospellier, holder of 2446.83 points. Eugene Katchalov, Samuel Stein, Fabrice Soulier, Sorel Mizzi, Thomas Marchese, Tobias Reinkemeier, John Juanda, Vanessa Selbst and David Peters are among the Top 10. Other top players are also well positioned and could be among the top 10 players in the next rankings like Jake Cody who is at the 25 th place, Phil Hellmuth (29th), Eric Froelich (39th), Mike Sowers and David Sands. The second ranking will be published on July 18.
