UKIPT Brighton: The Main Event began on July 14
After its first four successful steps, the tournament United Kingdom & Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) call in Brighton and poker enthusiasts have already participated in three exciting events since yesterday. The lavish poker room of Metropole Hilton Hotel was elected as the host of the event. On Wednesday, July 13, the UKIPT Brighton was officially opened by a Six Max No-Limit Freezeout. At around 10:00 pm, a satellite tournament qualifier for the main event took place. And around midnight, another side event, a no-limit Turbo took place. Brighton is a great poker destination, which explains the fact that last year the event attracted 258 participants including renowned players such as Neil Channing, Liam Flood, Rupionder Bedi and Jonathan Spinks. Again this year, organizers hope to record such success.
Thus, from this Thursday, July 14, 2011, poker fans will gather on the gaming tables in the main event of $ 560 and on next Sunday, July 17, the noun of the player who will succeed to James Burland, the defending champion UKIPT of Brighton 2010 will be known. Besides the main event, a plethora of events meant to amaze those who like playing poker will be also on the menu as the No-Limit Bounty Freezeout Charity to be held on Sunday, July 17. The next stop will be at the UKIPT Edinburgh.
