United Kingdom: Another bill in favor of online poker players
The United Kingdom noticed all the different events of the Black Friday that happened to online poker operators in the USA and the recent poor facts that struck the gambling industry in France. Bad effects of the Black Friday affect also British online gambling world, indeed and especially, British players. It is because Alderney and Man islands belong to this country. In this way, British authorities think seriously about developing another bill to better govern online poker and online poker rooms.
As amending the bill about the regulation of the online gaming and online betting websites operating in this area seems to take time, the British government would rather thinks about establishing protective regulations immediately in order to protect British players against risks that threatens online gambling operators, according to Jeremy Hunt, Secretary of Culture, Media and Sports. This means that with the next regulation governing of online gambling operators, at least, British players will have their accounts and money secure. However, problems of taxes imposed on professional players in England still remain. Note that these players are anxiously awaiting a better taxation from authorities. Note also that, the Culture, Media and Sport Department is on the way to settle the same fee imposed on the online sports betting area as that of France. This initiative is a response to lobbying made by sporting events organizers like British Horseracing Authority and the Premier League.
