Brad Daugherty: A second sale of his WSOP 1991 bracelet

The bracelet of the world champion of poker, Brad Daugherty, who won the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 1991 was again sold on eBay during the period from June 29 to July 9. A useful starting price for a good cause. According to the latest information, 44 bids were made and the best current offer is $ 11,100. In fact, the 14 carats gold bracelet of the winner of the main event of the year 1991 has already been auctioned on the same website in December 2010 but because of the lowest cost that had not been reached, Daugherty preferred to keep the precious jewel.

Following the footsteps of Peter Eastgate, winner of the Main Event of the World Series of Poker 2008 who donated the sum of $ 147,500 to UNICEF after the auction of his band, Brad Daugherty would also imitate this honorable cause. Indeed, aged of 60 years now, the first American player to win one million dollars in a tournament would consider giving the money raised to the many orphans and needy families in the Philippines where he lived the most of his time. As a reminder, this poker player is the pioneer of the poker series winner to get the first earning in seven figures in the history of the World Series at the age of 40. He outperformed that year some 214 participants that compose the field.
