WSOP Event # 21: Elky wins the first French bracelet and a triple crown

To the delight of the French public, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier won the Event # 21 of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in Las Vegas. Once again, the great "Elky" show to the world his great talent to play poker. In addition to the prestigious bracelet that he won, the first of France during this 42nd edition of the WSOP, and the reward of $ 331,639, the great champion has been entitled to the famous Triple Crown and joined the rank of Gavin Griffin, Roland de Wolfe and Jake Cody. This victory of Grospellier at the Seven Card Stud Championship of $ 10,000 is not a fortuity because he was always well placed throughout the competition despite the fact that formidable opponents like Men Nguyen, Sorel Mizzi, Chad Brown and Jason Mercier participated also in this event. And this new conquest pulled up the No. 1 French poker player in the 27th place in the ranking of tournament winnings.

In other poker room of the Rio, at the Event # 18, a $ 1,500 no-Limit Hold'em, it's Foster Hays who held the top spot of the podium. By starting the fourth day of competition as chip leader, Hays knew ups and downs before reaching the victory. After having experienced a duel against Casey Kelton, he won the big prize of $ 735,400 and his first bracelet. The French player Philip Vert finished at the 8 th place of this tournament. And in the Event # 20, Jason Somerville also shone. After four WSOP final tables participation, he ended up getting a bracelet and he also pocketed a nice gain of $ 493,091.
