Eric Boquet: 50% of his WSOP earnings to be allocated to humanitarian organizations
As in all disciplines, each player has only a single goal during the competition: reach the top and snatch the victory. This mindset is currently observed in the determination of poker enthusiasts who actively participate in the some fifty tournaments offered on the sidelines of the World Series of Poker 2011 (WSOP) which is held in the city of Las Vegas, in the United States. The only difference with other disciplines is that the efforts made by the best players are directly paid in cash. Moreover, about twenty players already enjoyed this wonderful feeling with the added bonus and as usual gold bracelets.
But this kind of event also shows how generous as poker players. For the case of Eric Boquet for example, he took the honorable initiative to give half of all the gains he pocketed throughout this prestigious world circuit, whether in cash game or in tournament, to humanitarian and charitable associations. To do this, the French poker player admitted as a principle to keep each 50% of the earnings he receives from each of his positive results. In addition, he will personally communicate on a daily basis the amount of the prize pool that he receives. For the repayment of the sum of the many associations and organizations working in the Humanitarian like Action Contre la Faim, Amnesty International, WWF, they should wait until the end of the WSOP in mid-July 2011.
