Mazagan Poker Million: One more victory for Alain Roy
The 14th edition of the Mazagan Poker Million marked the last two days of the first week of June 2011. Indeed, this prestigious Moroccan tournament was held on June 4 and 5 of this year in the luxury Mazagan Beach Resort. Of course the € 2,000 buy-in main event of this circuit was the most followed and that registered the most participants who did the trip in the sunny climate of Morocco. Moreover, they were 40 players who wanted to get the guaranteed prize pool of 1 million dhirams or € 100,000 at the beginning of the event, during the first day of Saturday.
After two days of confrontation of the field composed of a majority of French players, the Heads-up has to face the winner of the main event of the Partouche Poker Tour 2008, Alain Roy and a local player, Nourredine Doukar. This duel between the two opponents finally ended with a victory of the French professional player. Thus, this 14th monthly tournament Mazagan Poker Million allowed to Alain Roy to pocket € 30,788, which boosted his total tournament earnings over $ 2.1 million. For his part, the runner-up of the event, Nourredine Doukar received the sum of € 17 593. Furthermore, the first place of the € 500 NLH side event went to Fouad Bourhan with a gain of € 5,181.21, an event during which a 37 players participated.
