The Big One for One Drop: A special tournament with a buy-in of million dollars

The poker appointment organized jointly by the founder of Cirque du Soleil, Guy Laliberté and the World Series of Poker will certainly beat the record of entry fee of all circuits ever played. Indeed, both parties gathered their efforts to prepare the event of the century. Thus was born the tournament "The Big One for One Drop", a historic poker meeting available to a buy-in of one million dollars. However, the actual preparation of this titanic event will still be an intensive and very time-consuming labor. Therefore, players who wish to participate in this tournament will have to wait until next year.

For this first "Big One for One Drop" scheduled for three days from July 1 to 3, 2012 at the Rio All-Suite Hotel-Casino Las Vegas, organizers estimate to round up between 22 to 48 players. So far, 15 persons confirmed their participation in this prestigious appointment including the initiator of the tournament Guy Laliberté, Bobby Baldwin, who holds four WSOP bracelets and who is also the CEO of MGM-Mirage Resorts, Phil Ruffin owner of Treasure Island Resort in Las Vegas and also professional players like Daniel Negreanu and the Canadian champion of the WSOP 2010, Jonathan Duhamel. Besides the 11.1% of the participation fee to put give to One Drop Foundation, the ultimate winner of this battle will pocket a lot of millions dollars with 889,889 dollars added in the prize pool. In addition, the winning player will also receive a platinum WSOP bracelet.
