Christophe 'Elsagio' Lesage: The new title holder of the FPT

The road was long and the path strewn with pitfalls. Such was the course undertaken by the new champion of the France Poker Tour season 6 that has just ended at the Aviation Club de France after a little less than a week. Indeed, it took 6 days of competition and especially resistance to the winner Christophe Lesage aka Elsagio to steal the title of champion of France of poker. This sixth edition of the FPT knew an influx of 915 participants composed among others by professional players as well as qualified practitioners after dozens of steps held in different French cities and those qualified in online poker rooms tournaments.

Thus, the final table of the main event of the season 6 of the France Poker Tour was played on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. After the final tournament of the last 9 players, Christophe Lesage aka Elsagio was the best. In turn, he removed his 7 opponents before facing at the final head's up the last player, Guillaume Lamour who was the most competitive in the circuit. Therefore, the verdict designated the young competitor of 22-year as French champion of the sixth edition of the France Poker Tour. After a deal between the players of the first rank, the new winner pocketed a total of € 158,000. Thus, he is now following the footsteps of previous winners of the tournament as the French Valentin Messina and Nicolas Ferrier.
