WSOP-C Regional Championship: Triumph of Al Jejelowo in New Orleans

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOP-C) Southern Regional Championship, which made a stop in New Orleans published the verdict of its surprisingly final table Main event held last Sunday. Indeed, after the qualifying days, even if top players like Allen Kessler, Alie Prescott and Matthew Waxman reached the final table, Al Jejelowo stole them the spotlight in the poker room by moving up with ease to the victory. Playing poker is indeed the favorite pastime of this searcher who works at Rice University. And his talent and passion didn't deceived him, because it was a walkover, which allowed him to pocket a nice prize pool of $ 235,956 during this tournament of $ 10,000 buy-in and a place for the WSOP-C National Championship.

To achieve such a feat, Al Jejelowo did not hide his stress to keep his advantage since the beginning of the confrontation because, he was already in place of chip leader early in the final. This last phase began slowly. The first hours of confrontations have been marked by the elimination of Jeremy Gaubert and Kunal Patel. The two well known players Matt Waxman (7th) and Allan Kessler (6th) followed them thereafter. After the elimination of Scott Lipshutz at the 5th place, Gary Friedlander took the place of chipleader and eliminated Allie Prescott at the fourth place. Then, Al Jejelowo regained soon after his advantage after having disarmed Harry Cullen, who had to settle for the third place of the podium. Gary Friedlander for his second place at that poker tournament went back with $ 145,422.
