WPT Barcelona: Kick off of season 10 on May 23 at Gran Casino
The World Poker Tour will begin its new season from this week. Indeed, the tenth edition of this poker tour that takes place all around the world will give its kick off with its Spanish step to be held in Barcelona for a week, from May 23 to 29, 2011 at the Gran Casino. For this new poker event, the Main Event tournament will be played from 25 to 29 of the fifth month of this year. The entry fee is set at € 3,200. Moreover, as structure, players at this event will have to start the game with a stack of 30,000 chips and rounds of 60 minutes each.
Thus, the appointment of the World Poker Tour, which will be played for the fifth consecutive year in this prestigious city of Barcelona, will mark the beginning of its series of tournament of the new season and will gather major and lesser known names in the poker world. It will be a very important tournament because last year, this tour knew a bad image with the controversial victory of the German of Turkish origin, Ali Tekintamgac face to a field of 326 players. The same incident also disqualified him from the final table of the Partouche Poker Tour. For the record, apart from the bad memories of 2010, the three previous editions of the WPT Barcelona for the years 2007, 2008 and 2009 were won successively by the German Markus Lehmann, the Dane Casper Hansen and Mark Randal Flowers. With this new season, the WPT promises another exciting series of tournament.
