EPT Champion of Champions: Jason Mercier as the star of stars
In occasion of the Grand Finale of the European Poker Tour (EPT) which is held at the Gran Casino of Madrid, an outstanding championship was organized. We are here talking about the EPT Champion of Champions, an event that gathered in this poker room the 50 EPT champions during the 7 first seasons. It was an exceptional show. After 13 hours of battleship, the title was awarded to the American poker player Jason Mercier. Winner of the EPT San Remo in 2008, Jason Mercier has just done an excellent adventure by winning this high level finale table, eliminating, so, remarkable players like the two PCA champions Bertrand Grospellier and Gallen Hall, the EPT London champion Vicky Coren, the champion of the Dortmund stage Sandra Naujoks, the champion of the EPT Deauville Brandon Schaefer, the winner of Kiev stage, Maxim Lykov and the champion of the Copenhague stage Michael Tureniec.
At the end of the day, Britain's Vicky Loren managed to grab the fourth place and received a package of €10,000 during this eighth season of the circuit. Jason Mercier eliminated the Russian poker player Maxim Lykov, placing him at the third place and letting him to earn only of €15,000, a way for the public to admire his talent and skill in poker. Indeed, he completely shined during the duel between him and Gallen Hall. By ousting this latter, he won the title of champion of champions and the package of € 50,000. Gallen Hall, in his turn, won the package of €25,000.
