Nevada State Poker Championship: Start of the event this Friday, May 13

While the action is in full swing in Madrid as part of the Grand Finale of the European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 7, another wonderful event will also begin in Nevada this Friday, May 13, 2011. This is the Nevada State Poker Championship to be held in the poker room Peppermil Hotel Casino of Reno. Participants will be spoiled because they can play poker on tables of No-Limit Hold'em with buy-ins ranging between $ 120 and $ 225 during the first six events taking place from May 13 to 15, 2011. The main event of $ 1,650 which will be a TV show called Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) will be held next May 23. This meeting will close the festival.



And to satisfy all poker enthusiasts, the qualifying tournaments for this important meeting will take place on Friday, May 20 from 11:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m. and on Sunday, May 22 from 9:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m. The entry fee for these qualifier events are set at $ 330 and the top 20 players in both tournaments will earn their tickets for the HPT. And to top it all, a charity tournament called Jennifer Harman Charity Poker Throwdown will be held as part of the Nevada State Poker Championship. The profits met at this tournament will be awarded to the association which works for the SPCA animal protection. By paying a buy-in of $ 220, players can contribute to this humble cause and a will have the chance to compete against celebrities and notable players such as Howard Lederer, Trishelle Cannatella, Lou Diamond Phillips, Andy Bloch or Tiffany Michelle on gaming tables.
