Quebec: The Prestige Texas Holdem tournament to the benefit of diabetics on May 15
Last year, a charity poker tournament called Prestige Texas Holdem tournament has been organized to raise funds to support activities of the Association Diabetes Bas-Saint-Laurent. This first edition of the event was a real success as a horde of poker enthusiasts from multiple regions accepted the invitation, which led certainly organizers to prepare a second edition. Indeed, they hope to register the same success this year. Note that the association Diabetes Bas-Saint-Laurent conducts awareness campaigns, field trips and cooking demonstrations to help patients to lead a normal life and also provides appropriate care for diagnosed persons.
So this year, the great rendezvous of generous donors and poker fans will be held at the Hotel Gouverneur Rimouski, Quebec on Sunday, May 15, 2011 at noon. A special poker room for the event will be arranged and a friendly atmosphere will reign there because effectively, the participants will play poker for a charity cause. To be part of competitors, just pay a buy-in of $ 100. And during the game, each player can make a rebuy and an add-on of $ 50 amount each. In the second edition, the top 16 players in the game will share a nice earning of $ 15,000 and the winner will win the largest share worth $ 5,000. Note that the champion of the first edition did a fantastic gesture because he offered to the association Diabetes Bas-Saint-Laurent a part of his gain.
