WPT Premier League: A new concept with fascinating challenge

David Benyamine won the last edition of the Premier League Poker of last year, a meeting which brought together a dozen players. For this year 2011, this tournament will be back with some innovative changes. Thus, the tournament will now have a new name, the World Poker Tour Premier League because of the recent alliance of organizers such as the World Poker Tour and Matchroom Sport. Moreover, the CEO of the WPT, Steve Heller highlighted this famous association of the two prestigious competitions composed by the World Poker Tour and the Premier League Poker. A vision shared primarily by the responsible of Matchroom Sport, Eddie Hearn.

Regarding the World Poker Tour Premier League 2011 version, the new format will receive 16 players against 12 in 2010. Similarly, the contents of the new organization concocted by the World Poker Tour and Matchroom Sport is very attractive. Starting with the buy-in of the competition that will be around $ 125,000. Therefore, the expected prize pool will be estimated at $ 2,275,000. For the reward to be shared, the two organizers planned for the eventual winner of the race a seat for the WPT World Championship final for the year 2012. Thus, a $ 25,000 entry fee for this great event next year will be charged by the WPT Premier League. In addition, the future successor to David Benyamine will also pocket fairly consistent gains.
