WPT Hollywood Poker Open: Erik Seidel defeated by an amateur

After the magnificent coronation of Vanessa Selbst at the North American Poker Tour (NAPT) Mohegan Sun, the World Poker Tour Hollywood Poker Open (WPT) also announced its verdict. If spectators who came at the championship expected the victory of Erik Seidel, given his performance since the beginning of the year and his course during this tournament, he end up finally the tournament as the runner up. Indeed, the title of champion of the WPT Hollywood Poker Open was won by an amateur named Mike Scarborough, known by the nickname of Cincinnati Kid. From the beginning of this final battle, Mike Scarborough already stated his skills by being in possession of the second biggest stack of the party.



Maintaining a high level of play, Scarborough almost dominated the televised final table. He just proved to the world that he's gifted to play poker. He also demonstrated his competence to cope with well known players as Seidel who also praised his final heads'up opponent. Scarborough deserved also this humbly victory that allowed him to pocket a reward of $ 273,664 and a chance to win the precious bracelet. Scarborough can start a real career as a professional player. The leader of All Time Money List for his part had just added $ 155,103 on his bank account. The third occupant of the podium in the poker room was William Reynolds, who began the show as chip leader. Tom Marchese, Andy Wheston and Ali Eslami were awarded the 4th, 5th and 6 th place.
