European Poker Tour Berlin: A total of 773 players registered

The second qualifying day of the European Poker Tour Berlin (EPT) has just ended. To recall, 456 players registered for Day 1B. The total field of the event is then 773 participants. Compared to the edition 2010, a little reduction of the turnout was recorded because last year, the EPT on the German soil hosted 945 participants. To return to the current meeting, at the end of the day so, the field was reduced to 202 participants and Sander Berndsen, a regular of cash game, is leading the race by piling up the biggest stack of the day, 242,900 chips. For the other eliminated poker players, a bunch of stars have been bad luck on Day 1B and won't be part of the field for Day 2 like Liv Boeree, the defending champion Kevin McPhee, Annette Obrestad, James Akenhead, Tony G, Praz Banzi, Jake Cody, Luca Pagano and Dario Minieri.

As in each edition, the EPT is the poker circuit attracting the most French professional players. And as in Day 1A, numerous players from France were also enrolling for Day 1B. If Dragomir achieved a great feat the day before by accumulating a large number of chips, Aurélien Guiglini also did an excellent course. He will be back on the gaming tables of Spielbank Casino with a stack of 182,600 for the following of the tournament. His compatriots Alain Roy, Alexis Morlet, Ilan Boujenah, Tristan Clémençon and Thomas Bichon also showed once again their talent to play poker because they accumulated each a stack above 100k. Contrariwise, the adventure is over for Grospellier, Basile Yaïche, Anthony Roux, Almira Skripchenko and Thumy Clement. The 353 survivors will join the poker room that day to begin the Day 2.
