European Poker Tour Berlin: A good start for Fabrice Soulier

The second edition of the European Poker Tour Berlin (EPT) started as it was announced on Tuesday, 5 April. Even if the memories of the incident of last year are still present in minds of players, they were 315 to register for the first day of the tournament. With this turnout of the first day, organizers hope a real success of the event and the poker room of Spielbank Casino can attend a big event. Already on Day 1A, fantastic spectacles was available on gaming tables and at the end of the day, half of the starting participants did not survive. Indeed, they were only 151 players who were qualified for the second day and most of French players were already eliminated. Players as Ludovic Lacay, Alexandre Brivot, Antony Lellouche, Guillaume de la Gorce, Alexia Portal, Claire Renaut, Antonin Teisseire and Bruno Launais left the tournament prematurely.



However, the poker community of the Hexagon can still expect excellent results from their other representatives as Fabrice Soulier who climbed to the second position with 114,900 chips in hand. He is followed by his compatriot Michel Abecassis in the third position. Marc Inizan will also attempt to repeat his feat of 2010, year during which he finished the tournament in the 6th position. Nicolas Babel, Valentin Messina, Jean Paul Pasqualini, Julien Labisière, Arnaud Mattern, Nazim Guillaud and Lucien Cohen are also in the top 10. The EPT Snowfest finalist Cristian Dragomir throne in place of chip leader with a stack of 205,500 chips.
