European Poker Tour Snowfest: A slight decline in attendance at the 1st day

The European Poker Tour Snowfest (EPT) started on last Sunday. For the first qualifying day, 180 players joined the poker room of the Alpine Palace Card Casino in Austrian Alps, in Hinterglemm to participate in this great event. Meanwhile, before the starting of the meeting, everyone walked the ski slopes for a few hours of skiing. This Day 1A has not been as successful as the previous edition. Thus, the field of 546 registered participants during the EPT Snowfest 2010 will not be reached. However, action will be present at this event because players in this poker room are ready to offer the best of themselves to take the title of this main event of € 3,500 buy-in.

At the end of Day 1A, Arnaud Mattern was already among the players who packed up. He wasn't therefore able to be part of the 102 survivors for Day 2. John Duthie, Stephen Chidwick, Marcin Horecki, the November Nine in 2009 James Akenhead, the champion of the Irish Poker Open James Mitchell and John O'Shea were also among the victims of the Day 1A. Several players of Team 770 qualified easily as Paco Torres, Jamel Maistriaux, Cynthia Foresti, Koen De Visscher ... The British Martins Adeniyi did a good run because he managed to propel himself in place of chip leader in garnering the largest stack of the day (182,500 tokens). The French Thibaud Zeien is also part of the players holding more than 100,000 chips in hand. And among the players who survived, we can mention Josh Prager, the German Dominik Nitsche, Alex Kravchenko, Michael Keiner, or the runner up of EPT Berlin Ilari Tahkokallio.
