The Big Event: Victory of Victor Ramdin

Finally, as it was augured last few days ago, the champion title of the tournament The Big Event was granted to Victor Ramdin. Despite the good start of Jeremy Ausmus, during the final table of this poker tournament in Los Angeles that brought together some 416 participants at the beginning, he failed to capitalize his advantage as chip leader and ended simply at the third place with a prize of $ 190,000. Ramdin, who led at the eve of the final was the best player of this final meeting. He overtook the other finalists with an excellent strategy. He indeed eliminated well-known poker players like Joe Hachem of Australia in the final head's up. The latter even gained a slight advantage in chips at the beginning of the duel, but this didn't prevented the native of New York to win the trophy.

The audience present at the poker room of the Bicycle Casino in Los Angeles was able to appreciate the feat of Ramdin, a victory that allowed him to pocket a nice gain of $ 500,000. Note that Ramdin for the first time left his mark in the world of poker with his success at the World Poker Tour Foxwoods Poker Classic in 2006, a victory that allowed him to pocket $ 1,331,889. As runner up, Joe Hachem was therefore awarded the second prize of $ 300,000. Taylor von Krietenbergh was denied a podium finish because he finished 4th. Brian Leskowitz, Govert Metaal, Jose De Noronha and Santiago Nadal were ranked respectively 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th.
