WPT Biloxi : Alexander Kuzmin triumph at the Southern Championships

The final day of the World Poker Tour Biloxi (WPT) was full of suspense. Indeed, having made outstanding achievements throughout the competition, Hoyt Corkins and Allen Carter were in the way to complete a double for the first time in the Southern Poker Championship. Note that since the existence of the event, no player managed to achieve such a feat. Unfortunately, the myth wasn't broken because the victory finally returned to the Russian Alexander Kuzmin. If Hoyt Corkins experienced a tragic end of day and had to settle for the 19th place, Allen Carter, acceded the final table of the $ 10,000 buy-in Event.

Among the 27 survivors who reached the gaming tables of Casino Beau Rivage in Biloxi during the final day, Ryan Hughes, Shannon Shorr, Allan Carter, Leif Force, Alexander Kuzmin and Pat Mahoney were the fortunate qualified for the great final table. By being at the head of the pack alongside Alexander Kuzmin at the beginning of this final battle, Allan Carter was also a victim of bad luck and was finally placed in the 3rd place. Kuzmin and Leif Force played thus the title of the tournament and finally, the Russian won the big prize of $ 601,469 with the bracelet in platinum of the WPT and a ticket to access to the $ 25,000 tournament in Biloxi. Leif Force bagged the second prize of $ 315,790. And for his 3rd place, Carter received $ 218,471.
