Aussie Millions: David Oppenheil as champion of the High Roller

The High Roller is a major event highly competitive between biggest stars of poker at every worldwide big appointment. And the Aussie Millions has not failed in this tradition. The organizers of this tournament didn't forget to offer the Invitational Shootout event with a buy-in of $ 25,000 for players who join the Crown Casino of Melbourne. As usual, great players like David Benyamine, John Juanda, Tom Dwan or Phil Ivey were part of the field of 24 participants in this televised event. But none of them didn't reach the final table which was composed by James Bord, Howard Lederer, Patrick Antonius, David Oppenheim, Barny Boatman and Eli Elezra.



After five hours of confrontation, the American pro of cash game who register currently a total winnings in live and online tournament of 1.4 million of dollars, David Oppenheim, won the victory with a huge prize of 250,000 $. He already proved his talent by ousting notables of the game as Mike Matusow, Gus Hansen, Annette Obrestad or Tony G on the gaming tables in this competition. And during the final table, he moved smoothly on the throne by eliminating Howard Lederer in the third place and James Bord during the final head's up. The two players had to settle respectively for the third prize of $ 80,000 and the second prize of $ 150,000.
