Aussie Millions Challenge 2011: Sam Trickett wins AUD $ 1.525 million

The Australian poker festival Aussie Millions Poker crowned another player who is the British Sam Trickett as champion of the $ 100,000 Challenge. They were 38 players who participated in this massive tournament with a big buy-in. And of course, stars of the game as Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, and Patrik Antonius or Gus Hansen take part in the game. Note that the tournament registered a prize pool of $ 3.8 million. Sam Trickett was in a very good fit and captured the title and first prize of AUD $ 1,525,000 after ousting his compatriot Tony Bloom during the final duel. For the second time, Tony Bloom once again miss the trophy and settled for the second prize of $ 975,000.



The final table of the $ 100,000 Challenge Aussie Millions 2011 was composed of 8 players but organizers decided to award the first 6 finalists. The holder of five bracelets at the World Series of Poker, Chris Ferguson and Jeff Lissandro were the unfortunate victims who could not get in the money by positioning respectively at the 8th and 7th place. The French poker community trusted on David Benyamine but the French pro was eliminated in the 6th place, winning a prize of $ 150,000. And about the Main Event, the part already started and among the 238 competitors who competed during the Day 1 A, Erick Lindgren, Patrik Antonius and Phil Ivey are well positioned for the following of the competition and they will try to succeed Tyron Krost.
