PCA 2011: Galen Hall pocketed $ 2.3 million

The biggest festival of poker of Bahamas which marks the beginning of the year comes to crown its winner who is none other than the American Galen Hall. To remind, the Poker Caribbean Adventure 2011 (PCA) was a huge success with 1,560 participants garnering a prize pool of $ 15,132,000 which $ 2.3 million was dedicated to the champion of the event. Better known as an online poker player, Galen Hall managed to catch the victory after defying major competitors on a hectic final table. Indeed, the American emerged ahead of his compatriot Chris Oliver, who held the title of the chipleader during the final heads'up. The great advantage of Oliver in chips did not prevent Galen Hall to grant himself the largest title and biggest win of his career.

Chris Oliver has merely the second prize of $ 1.8 million and the Romanian Anton Ionel occupied the third place and collected $ 1,350,000 for the occasion. It must be said that both players dominated the final table of the PCA 2011 and the other competitors finished all by surrendering in turn starting with Phillipe Plouffe followed by Max Weinberg, Bolivar Palacios, Mike Sowers and Sam Stein. For French players, six of them managed to access the list of cashes with Ilan Rouah 36 th, Erika Cerastes 42 nd, Alexis Fourcade 65 th, Bertrand Grospellier 126 th, Loic Blarez 135 th and Frédéric Edelmann 220 th.
