Dakota: More than 1,800 players for the 6th biggest U.S. charity tournament

The next biggest Texas Hold'em tournament outside of Las Vegas has set its final preparations for the meeting planned in the afternoon of Wednesday. This last touch was the installation of banners and the location of tables that will receive the final table for the New Year's Day 2011 during which more than 1,800 poker players will compete. These few thousand participants who will participate in this Texas Hold 'Em Championship at Dakota, in Motel Vegas, Minot are also entered into the heart of the tournament on Wednesday evening during a freeroll tournament to be well placed in the Main Event and try to win the sum of $ 40,000 that begins on Thursday.

For this 6th edition of the biggest charity tournament in the United States, 14 countries are represented, including also the host Americans, Canadians and Brazilians that made the trip to try their luck. To explain the international success of this poker charity tournament in North Dakota since its first edition in 2004 during which 387 participants have only played to eventually reach the cap of 1,000 players and even more, Wendy Rupert, one of organizers explained the serious preparation and a job well planned throughout the year by volunteers and many organizations. As reminder, the profits collected during this poker tournament will be fully offered to Minot State University Alumni Association for scholarship funds.
