Macao: Several major poker tournaments during the year 2011

With his new title as world capital of gambling, Macao also continues to become an inescapable destination for major poker tournaments. Indeed, from one year to another, this Chinese city enjoying an exceptional favor in terms of development of casino and gambling halls continues to see new poker tournaments to the delight of lovers of this game. Thus, some program of tournaments taking place in this city in 2011 have just been announced. To start the year, the Asian Poker Room will host players under the Macau Poker Cup to be held from February 21 to 27. The organizers made some changes in hopes of attracting more participants. Indeed, a slight increase of the buy-in has been agreed for the Red Dragon tournament to satisfy players looking for a tournament with a much better structure. In this way too, the prize pool of the tournament should also increase.

The Red Dragon, even if it does not yet know the excitement of major tournaments like the WSOP or the WPT starts to accumulate success. With a field of 33 players in 2008, 247 in 2009, this year's tournament brought together 321 players. So for the 2011 edition, the organizers believe greater crowds expected to reach 400 participants from different Asian cities and the Pan-Pacific region. Apart from the Red Dragon, other interesting events are also planned in this city like the $ 1,500 buy-in Deepstack tournament and the $ 1,000 Ladies Event. After the Macau Poker Cup, players will be also awaited for the Macau million in April, the Macau Poker Cup Championship to be held during the month of October 2011 and to complete the Asia Pacific Poker Tour which is scheduled for the month of November 2011.
