Vanessa Hellebuyck and Guillaume Darcourt : Among French players who marked the year 2010

The year 2010 was marked by great performances of French poker players in many major tournaments. Indeed, some famous players graced their prize list with new trophies while amateur players were able to start a promising career. First, it is essential to cite the unbelievable success of Vanessa Hellebuyck at the Ladies Event of the World Series of Poker 2010. The young mother stood out in front of 1,053 poker players. She won the 5th WSOP bracelet for France. Gauillaume Darcourt also excelled in winning the World Poker Tour Bucharest not to mention his performance in the WSOP Event 51. The Partouche Poker Tour was also marked by the presence of Cyril André, Raphaël Kroll and Fabrice Soulier on the final table. Despite missing a title for Raphaël Kroll, ousted by Vanessa Selbst at the final heads'up, he accomplished a real feat and became an outstanding player.

We should also remember the excellent course of Antoine Amourette. Finalist of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Sydney, he also grazed the victory and brought up the color of France at the World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris during which he finished runner up. The 4th place of Hervé Costa at the European Poker Tour Monte Carlo (EPT) and his participation at the final table of the WSOP Europe, the 5th place of Nicolas Levi in the WSOP Europe, the 4th place of David Benyamine at the WPT World Championship, the 3rd place of Marc Inizan at the EPT Berlin, ElkY's victory at Barriere Poker Tour Lille and during the Trophées Haussmann are part of the exploits performed by French players throughout this year. Among the young talents that have marked the year, Hugo Lemaire can be proud of his success because after a good run at the EPT Deauville, he also won the trophy of EFOP Diamonds Championships.
