EPT Prague : Roberto Romanello as champion of the Main Event

The Welshman Roberto Romanello is the last player champion of an European Poker Tour (EPT) event for the year 2010. By beating the Italian Emiliano Bono during the final heads'up, Romanello won the title of the EPT Prague 2010. He succeeds the Czech Jan Skampa, champion of the EPT Prague 2009. The Welshman who managed to win against a large field of 563 players from 47 different countries achieve then a unique success and he showed real emotions during the award trophy ceremony. This beautiful course also earned him a gain of € 640,000. Note that the Main Event of € 5300 buy-in of the EPT Prague 2010 generated a prize pool of € 2,730,550 shared between the 80 best players of the tournament, including a dozen French players.



So this week-end, the Golden Prague Poker of the Hilton witnessed a final full of suspense. As part of the finalists, the only player representative of France, Manual Bevand finished 7th. Even if he missed the trophy, Bevand had just completed a feat. Note that he finished 22nd in 2008 step and 19 th at EPT Prague 2009. The EPT champion Kevin MacPhee has also knew an unfortunate defeat and finished in the 9th place. Concerning the classification of other top players who attended the event, Rob Hollink finished the tournament at the 14 th place, the German Tobias Reinkeimeier finished 40th, while Italian Luca Pagano holds the 17th place.
