APPT Sydney: A magnificent feat of Jonathan Karamalikis and the French Amourette

For the last stage of this season 4, the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT), which made a stopover in Sydney recorded a field of 289 players during the main event of $ 6,300 buy-in. Australia has therefore attended a grand festival of poker that saw the participation of a multitude of stars of poker at the international level with players like Tony G, Lee Nelson, Chris Moneymaker, the local poker pro Joe Hachem and also Casey Kastle. As usual, renowned players showed great competitiveness in order to capture the title and after a week of battle, the 9 qualified for the final table stood out. The hosts did their best to defend the honor of their country, which explains the presence of five Australian players on the final table. But Daniel Negreanu, Roland de Wolfe, Eddy Sabat and the French Antoine Amourette have also done an excellent course and were part of the final race for the trophy.

The APPT Sydney has therefore ended with a victory of Jonathan Karamalikis, a young local poker player of 22 years. He defended the color of Australia at this tournament and pocketed $ 459,510 AUD for his performance. Three other of his countrymen held the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place. And to the delight of the French poker community, Antoine Amourette finished 5th. This is his third appearance on the final table of a major tournament after the $ 2,000 Limit Hold'em of the World Series of Poker 2009 and the World Poker Tour Grand Prix de Paris. As for the Canadian Negreanu, he settled for the 9th place.
