All In For Cerebral Palsy: A charity tournament to the benefit of One Step Closer Foundation
For the third consecutive year, the actress Cheryl Hines of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and the champion of the World Series of Poker 2009 (WSOP), Joe Cada will organize once again the tournament All In For Cerebral Palsy, a charity poker tournament to the benefit of One Step Closer Foundation, this Saturday, December 11, 2010 in the prestigious poker room of the casino Venetian. One Step Closer Foundation works to provide a better quality of life for patients suffering from cerebral palsy. Jacob Zalewski who suffered of this disease and is currently designated as president of the foundation was the first organizer of the tournament in 2008. As a fan of poker, he played regularly in various tournaments that were held at the Rio and he also participated in the WSOP, which allowed him to rub celebrities of the game and most of them become his friends and support the Foundation by participating in tournaments.
For this December 11, generous fans of this game will compete on tables of No-Limit Hold'em of $ 540 buy-in with possibility of $ 200 rebuys during the first 90 minutes of play. The half of the money raised will be allocated to the foundation while half will be reserved for the tournament. Celebrities as the champion of the event in 2009 Mekhi Phifer, the creator of the famous Simpsons cartoon or TV host Montel Williams and poker pros like Freddy Deeb, Barry Greenstein, Maria Ho, Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Laak, Scotty Nguyen, Eli Elezra or Jamie Gold will be among the participants in the tournament. Note that last year, the organizers managed to raise $ 80,000.
