EPT Barcelona 2010: A first victory in a major live tournament for Kent Lundmark

A new stage of the European Poker Tour has been reached. Barcelona, the Catalan capital hosted last week for a period of 6 days non-stop this prestigious tournament on the Old Continent. An encounter full of surprises from Day 3 during which the suspense spellbound the audience until the final phase of the competition. The chip counts at the final table that saw eight players fighting to designate the winner of the European race turned in favor of one that was ranked in fifth place, Kent Lundmark. For this stage of EPT that was held at the Hotel Arts Barcelona, the Main Event battle was very interesting from the Day 3 and was lead by the Italian Giuseppe Pantaleo.



Even if he was the best positionned with 5,655,000 chips, Pantaleo finally didn't resist and didn't maintain his ranking against other competitors who didn't stood idly during this Catalan event. Alternately, players underperforming invited to the finish line were seen disposed to give way to the top two who are the Swedish Kent Lundmark and the Spaniard Jesus Cortes Lizano. Finally, one of the best online poker player of Sweden, aged only 22 years, took over his utlime rival and sign a first major live victory. For this European success, Kent Lundmark pocketed a tidy sum of € 825,000 . Moreover, as runner-up, Jesus Cortez Lizano cashed a gain of € 525,000.
