WSOP Circuit Biloxi: A significant turn in the career of Travis Lutes

The World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) continue to delight fans of poker during various stages. After the success of the Regional Championship of Hammond, the WSOPC also stopped at IP Casino Resort & Spa in Biloxi, Mississippi. Note that the major advantage of this circuit is to let participants to qualify and to be part of the National Championship. Thus, the 270 players registered for the $ 1,600 buy-inMain Event clashed for three days in search for a victory and a qualification at this event. On the gaming tables, the audience could appreciate the talents of local professional poker players and regulars of the circuit who completed the field. However, only 9 players were allowed to return during the third day of competition with Travis Lutes and Farid Nasserazad as leader.

It took only 90 minutes of play to remove respectively the 7 finalists including John Holley, Steven Marshall, Jerry Monroe, Robert Gunter, Yair Alon, Jason Cluxton and Bob Talbot from the game table. With their huge advantage in number of chips at the beginning of the final, the Indian-born player Farid Nasserazad and the chip leader Travis Lutes have easily accessed the heads'up final. At the beginning of the meeting, the Indian had a higher stack than Travis Lutes. However, after 5 hours of confrontation, Lutes eventually take over and win the biggest win of his career, a sum of $ 95,253 not to mention the title of champion of the WSOPC Biloxi and the right to access to the National Championship. Note that this grand finale which will confront the 100 top players of the tour will be held at Caesars Palace in May 2011.
