WSOP: Duhamel finally received the title of world champion 2010

He wanted and he got it. Indeed, after months of preparation and waiting, and after a grueling final table, the 23 years old Quebecers, Jonathan Duhamel filled Canadian poker fans by winning the prestigious title of world championship of poker in Las Vegas. Apart from the big prize at stake, Duhamel also defend the honor of his country in the final. And during this final phase of the WSOP 2010, he faced the best in the discipline of this year, those who were qualified for the November Nine. Despite his advantage in chips, Duhamel nevertheless fought hard during the final heads'up who opposed him to John Racener. He managed to capture a portion of the stack of his opponent in the first time but also had a difficult time in the meantime. But in the end, the Quebecers finally win.

Jonathan Duhamel, full of emotion, welcomed the audience who encouraged him during this final battle and walked up proudly on the podium Penn and Teller of Rio Casino in Las Vegas to receive his coronation. Aside from the prestigious title and the honor of being world champion of poker 2010, Duhamel also conquered the notorious bracelet of champions for the first time and the $ 8,944,310 bonus. Note that this is indeed the first time that the title of Champion of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is seized by a Quebecer. As he said "a promise is due", the champion will then donate $ 100,000 to the Foundation of the Montreal Canadiens Children's Fund, a charity towards his fellow countrymen. As the second best player in the world, the American John Racener thus pocketed the second prize. Congratulations to the young champion!
