WPT Amnéville: The trophy won by the Swiss Sam El Sayed

For its first passage at Seven Casino Amnéville in Lorraine region, in France, the World Poker Tour (WPT) has generally been a great success despite a few incidents throughout the competition. The starting field composed by 543 players was finally reduced to 9 competitors for the final table. On Sunday, November 7 at 5 p.m so, the finalists began the final battle, a final straight with a very high level of play. The field of this final was largely dominated by French players like Frank Pepe, Ilan Boujenah, Nesrin Kourdouli William Bresson, Jean-Paul Pasqualini, Julien Robert and Georges Chehade.

But despite this strong presence in the final, the hosts of the WPT have not kept the title in France. Very late at night, it was George Chehade who was the first victim, followed shortly afterwards by Julien Robert. Despite his status as the most skilled player at the final table, Jean Paul Pasqualini has not been able to advance far enough and also settled for 6th place. In the 5th and 4th position respectively are Wilfried Bresson and Nesrin Kourdouli. The Swiss Sam El Sayed, the only foreigner at the final table, eliminated Ilan Boujenah at the 3rd place. Thus, he faced the local player Frank Pepe in the final duel. After the battle, the Swiss was finally crowned champion of the WPT Amnéville and won the first prize of € 426,425 and a seat to the WPT Championship Bellagio while Pepe won € 229,613 and a package of € 10,000 for the WPT Paris.
