WPT Foxwoods World Poker Finals: $ 500,000 and a first victory for Jeff Forrest

Just 24 hours after the conclusion of the World Poker Finals, all the predictions of experts have fallen into the water. If Thomas Marchese was seen as the favorite of the final table of the World Poker Tour Foxwoods, it was the unexpected American Jeff Forrest who distinguished himself in the final duel that faced him to Dave Inselberg. Foxwoods Casino was once again the scene of another surprise in the final stage of the World Poker Tour. Initially, 242 players rushed to pay the buy-in of $ 10,000 to build a prize pool of $ 2,300,000. Gradually, the final table was known and let the 6 remaining players compete to add another victory at their previous achievements.

A game quickly dispatched by the new entrant on the WPT circuit, the American Jeff Forrest who swept in his path other five competitors with the chip leader on the eve, Thomas Marchese, ranked third in the final table. In the head's-up, the local player of the Foxwoods tournament gave no chance to his opponents Dave Inselberg and delighted his first ranking with a nice pot of $ 548,752. Besides Jeff Forrest, the winner of the World Poker Finals, the other five finalists who were paid Dave Inselberg, runner-up with $ 325,608, Thomas Marchese, third winning $ 211,759, fourth, Nikolai Yakovenko ($ 170,773); Keven Stammen fifth with his $ 128,650 and sixth Mohsin Charania who pocketed $ 104,741.
