WSOP Africa: Zackey Warren wins the title of the Main Event

The World Series of Poker Africa had just crown its two winners at the $ 1,000 buy-in event Pot Limit Omaha and the $ 5,000 buy-in Main Event. In general, the tournament was not successful despite its name because the attendance has been lackluster. The main event for example attracted only 188 participants and at the Pot Limit Omaha, there was a small field of 37 players. However, like all WSOP of its kind, this meeting was still outstanding. With an opportunity to rebuy during the first three hours of play, the side event led organizers to collect a prize pool of $ 93,688 and let the champion pocket a prize of $ 36,786. And it was the Brazilian Felipe Ramos who was the best at this meeting. He outdistanced three players at the final ranking who were Jarred Solomon (2nd), Chris Convery (3rd) and Gareth Kalil (4th).

Despite the low number of participants in the Main Event, a few well-known players have been seen during this stage of the WSOP in South Africa as Vanessa Rousso, Maria Ho, who finished in 6th place, Beth Shak and Gus Hansen. After an eventful confrontation, the native of South Africa, Warren Zackey, as reminder has already let talk about him during the Main Event of the WSOP 2009 as chipleader until Day 5, did another fabulous tournament. Indeed, he won the prestigious title of the WSOP in his own country by ousting Melanie Banfield during the final head's up. So he pocketed a handsome gain of $ 225,000. The first French of this tournament, the player who finished 4th at the World Poker Tour Marrakesh 2009, failed to reach the final table and finished in the 13th place.
