EPT Vienna: 278 survivors begin the Day2

The Main Event of € 5,300 buy-in of the European Poker Tour Vienna (EPT) held at Kursalon casino was a very interesting battle. On Day 1A, 234 players showed up and registered for the poker tournament and on Day 1B, the field increased significantly with 353 registered players. In all therefore, the tournament attracted 587 players which allowed organizers to save a prize pool of about € 3 million. With these beautiful people who came to attend the Viennese stage of the EPT, illustrious well known players have been seen there as John Juanda, Bertrand ElkY, David Benyamine, Rob Hollink, Marcel Luske and Dario Minieri. Unfortunately, they have all already been eliminated. With the end of Day 1B, the verdict was in favor to 161 players who will still attend the rest of the competition with Laurence Houghton alias Rivermanl at the head of the race. Among the best in online poker, the beautiful Houghton comes to mark her presence at EPT Vienna garnering the largest stack of the moment (190,300 chips), which will surely give her a big advantage at the Day2.

In total, 278 competitors will enter the second day of competition. Daniel Negreanu, Tom Dwan, Nacho Barbero, Stephen Chidwick and Barny Boatman are among the favorites in the race. In the French side, the reigning champion of the 2005 Vienna edition, Pascal Perrault, Manuel Bevand Bernard Boutboul, Fabien Perrot, Bruno Launais, Christophe Benzimra, Marc Inizan, Jacques Zaicik, Antony Lellouche, Julien Claudepierre, Frederic Casalta, Patrick Gaillardo are also qualified. But the hope of France is especially Anthony Roux and Nicolas Levi, who succeeded to end the first day of qualification in good positions.
