Irish Winter Festival 2010: An Irishman succeeds to another

And one more for the host country in terms of victory. After the recent coronation of the Irishman John Gray at the Irish Poker Open, another local player won the Main Event 2010 of this tournament. His name is Nicholas Newport and he is the successor of the last winner Michael O'Sullivan winner in 2009, another compatriot, too. The € 1,650 buy-in Main Event at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin was composed by a field of 347 participants. A competition that has turned to the advantage of the winner of the last Main Event of the Irish Series of Poker 2010 of €10,000 entry fee against Charlie Harvey, another Irish player, in the final duel.



Moreover, the Slovenian Tomaz Kogovsek took the Sole Survivor of this poker festival which is simply the reward dedicated the last surviving player through online satellite qualifiers held for the event. He won for this feat an extra of € 20,000. The Irish Winter Festival 2010 was even better than other organized previously, said organizers. For evidence, more than € 500,000 in prize pool were collected in the Main Event with € 125,000 for the winner Nicholas Newport, the runner-up Charlie Harvey hit € 77,000, Tom Finneran won € 56,500, € 42,000 for Dominic McCloskey, Seamus Quinn € 31,300, € 23,500 for Tononi Ivan, Stuart Brownson won € 17,800 and Dorlan Schick pocketed € 17,800.
