WPT Festa al Lago Day 4: Obrestad on the way for a new title

At the end of the Day 4 of the Main Event of the World Poker Tour Festa al LagoBellagio (WPT) , there are only 13 competitors in the race. Note that the 335 players in the starting field paid a buy-in of $ 10,300, which allowed organizers to collect a prize pool of $ 3,224,000. On Day 4, the young Norwegian Annette Obrestad has really done an extraordinary day. After eliminating a lot of experienced players, the beautiful star of poker was propelled to the head of the tournament and hold successfully the place of chip leader by earning the largest portion of the stack which is 2,009,000 chips in hand. However, Annette_15 was in the 16th position at the beginning of the day. Among the victims of Day 4 are the chip leader Steve O'Dwyer and Chad Batista, an online poker pro.

The finalists who will meet for the title race of the WPT Festa Al Lago 2010 will therefore stand out on Day 5. And despite the enormous advantage that she acquired, Obrestad will not stay so far out of danger because of the ruthless poker pros like Andy Frankenberger (holder of the second largest stack), Jeff Madsen (3rd in number of chips), Allan Kessler, John Monnette, Noah Schwartz, Steven Brandon and Randal Flowers are still in the competition. Note that Obrestad is the only remaining women player in the race to the final. However, with her advantage in chips and the qualities she has shown, she is able to defy male competitors that fill this field on Day 5, and could thus win another title.
