U.S. Poker Championship: At Trump Taj Mahal Casino from November 1st to 22nd, 2010
The tournament United States Poker Championship (U.S. PC) will again take place at Trump Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City from November 1st to 22nd, 2010. It is the only poker championship hosted by the casino. And even if the tournament does not appear as famous and grandiose as major tournament like the World Poker Tour or the World Series of Poker, it could still provide real satisfaction to poker enthusiasts who will go to the casino in November. Furthermore, the championship will be eventful with a majority of hold'em poker, the most popular variant played. However, seven-card stud, Omaha and HORSE tournaments will be also offered during the championship. The buy-in events will vary between $ 300 and $740+$ 60.
The main event of the U.S. PC will begin on November 19, 2010 and will last 4 days. By paying a buy-in of $ 5000 + $ 250, participants for the Main Event will receive 30,000 starting chips. Those seeking a place in the tournament may already participate in the qualifying satellite tournaments which will be held every weekend with a buy-in of $ 525 + $ 25. Note that the U.S.PC was mediated by Spike TV and the tournament was broadcast on ESPN two years ago. This year, the poker manager of Trump Taj Mahal told that the casino itself is responsible of promoting the event. From November 1st then, poker enthusiasts are expected at Trump Taj Mahal Casino for the start of the U.S. PC with a No Limit Deepstack tournament of $ 360 + $ 40 buy-in.
