BOPC: Beginning of the 6th edition

The city of Namur will host for more than a week the sixth edition of the Belgium Open Poker Championship (BOPC). This tournament is back in Belgium from October 9 to 17, 2010. In 2009, Antonio Guida, the winner and current holder of the title won a check of more than € 300,000. He was the best player among the 817 participants who took part in the Main Event. To return to this new 2010 edition of the BOPC, there will be at first the program of the main event with a buy-in of € 1,500 + 200 which will be played on the 9 days of competition. Thus, the Day 1 will take place in four days, the Day 2 in 2 days. Finally, the 3 remaining days of the tournament will be played during which the first day of October 15, 2010 will receive 36 players in maximum.



On the second day of October 16th, 2010, only 9 players will be admitted and finally the final table will be held on October 17, 2010. For the calendar of side events at the Belgium Open Poker Championship, from Saturday 9 to Sunday, October 17, 2010 with the exception of Tuesday, October 12, satellites for the Main Event, satellite event, some events and the Ladies only are waiting for you. In any case, buy-ins range from € 100 to € 1,700 for the Main Event and the Heads-Up Team Event is set to € 5,200. To recap, last year, the team of Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier formed by Arnaud Mattern, Johnny Lodden and Julien Brécard won the tournament team.
