WSOP Europe 2010 : Five bracelets distributed and many suspense

The series of tournaments of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) for the year 2010 has just closed with the last event of last weekend which saw the participation of many famous players and five bracelets distributed. Two new events marked the calendar this year, namely the £ 2,650 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em for 224 players and the £ 10,350 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Heads-Up which gathered 103 participants. For this year 2010, the WSOPE are summarized inside others by a first bracelet of Phil Laak in the six-handed and a performance of Chris Bjorin in the number of cashes and found himself at the head of players reaching the most final tables at the WSOPE. Jeffrey Lisandro make also talked about him by winning his fifth bracelet in the £ 5,250 Pot-Limit Omaha.

Another highlight of the WSOP Europe is the faultless course of the young JP Kelly, the defending champion of the £ 1,075 No-Limit Hold'em 2009, who might entered the poker history by keeping his title in equaling the achievement of Phil Hellmuth in 1990 and a group of poker legends who won the same event one year to another, but unfortunately failed during the final head's up face to Scott Shelley. These WSOPE 2010 was also a first success for Gus Hansen, the player with a wonderful prize list, in the No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Heads-Up, with a first WSOP bracelet. To mention at last, the moving scene that marked the main event where a crowd of stars invaded the Empire Casino but it was ultimately only one, James Edge, who took home the trophy.
