France Poker Tour VI : Kickoff at Carousel du Louvre in January 2011

The tournament France Poker Tour (FPT) is a championship that start to become a must on the agenda of poker enthusiasts around France. Last year, the tournament registered 7,700 players with 634 participants during the main event. The final was held at The Aviation Club de France with a No Limit Hold'em of € 1,000 buy-in. What makes this poker festival unique is that it offers to enthusiasts a platform to show their talent and expertise and to face major national and international players. So in 2011, the tournament will begin with a first stage to be held at Carousel du Louvre. And the event will run in several cities in France until April 2011, which would be a great opportunity for poker fans to try their luck for a successful entry into the professional circuit.



The competitions will take place in the usual places which is the conference room of Nantes, the rugby stadium in Toulouse and some French casinos. Note that the objectives of all competitors is to be among the best players and to be qualified for the Grand Final of the FPT which prize pool is estimated to reach one million Euro during the 2011 edition. At the last step, Valentin Messina won the title after a fairly exhausting heads'up face to Freddy Deeb. He pocketed a bonus of € 150,000. In 2011, with this huge prize pool, the winner will walk away with a gain of € 300,000, a reward that will motivate many competitors to train well to earn the coronation.
