Online poker in the USA : Back to square one

The bill of 48 pages of Barney Frank, Democrat Congressman, the Internet Gambling Regulation and Consumer Protection Enforcement Act, to regulate and legalize online poker in the United States may spend some more time in the drawer. The defender of the project himself is not sure that this bill will pass in front of the House of Representatives before the U.S. Senate elections in November that occupy the political arena in the United States for some time. An effort in vain for the advocates of this bill that aims to establish a system of regulation at the federal level and structure of implementation through which the operators of online gambling could obtain a government license giving them permission to offer their services to U.S. citizens.

To recall, this bill named the Internet Gambling Regulation and Enforcement Act Consumer Protection consists of three main parts namely the establishment of a system of license is given to online casino and internet poker operators on the following criteria : financial position, business structure, work experience, compliance with global criteria allowing them to reach the market, the authorization from the authority of Treasury to monitor operators of online gambling and to ensure their total obedience to the law and finally protective measures for consumers among others, the protection of minors, that of personal data and privacy of users. In any case, the legalization of online gambling, especially poker is more than controversial news in the country of Uncle Sam.
