WPT Borgata : D'Agostino leads the race

The World Poker Tour (WPT) Borgata currently taking place at the Borgata casino in Atlantic City receives its third day of competition. The event will display an unprecedented success with a wide field of 1,042 participants for the Day 1A and 1B. With a buy-in of $ 3,500, the organizers have assembled a huge prize pool of $ 3,438,600 that let to the champion of the event to go home with a reward of $ 733,802. On Day 2, the 641 survivors in the first two qualifying days have yet competed to be among the competitors on Day 3. Towards the end of the day of the second day of competition, several players have been eliminated, including major figures such as Gavin Smith, Chris Bell, Nancy Todd Tyner, Maria Ho, Beth Shak, Tyffany Michelle, Kathy Liebert and Lisa Hamilton.

Then, only 175 players were in the race for Day 3 and the field is still rich in talented and experienced players like Jeff Papola, Dwite Pilgrim, Olivier Busquet who are respectively at the 8th, 10th and 11th position in number of chips. They are on the right way to be at least part of the 100 winning players. John D'Agostino es leading the race for the moment with 681,200 chips in hand. Despite this advantage, the road is still far and the chipleader of the day should be vigilant if he want to win the prestigious title of the WPT Borgata especially as formidable opponents like Dan Fisher, Mike Sexton, Matt Marafioti, Thomas Manning, Frank Calo, Bernard Lee, Nick Binger, Jonathan Little, are still in the competition.
