The first gold bracelet during the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) has been awarded to Phil Laak. And after a defeat in Las Vegas this summer, he finally wins the only trophy missing from his collection. Indeed, Phil Laak recorded numerous victories in big tournaments and several paid places, an endurance record on cash game tables characterized by 137 hours of nonstop play. By winning the event NL Hold'em 6-Max of £ 2,650 buy-in, which took place from September 14th to 16th, 2010 at the Casino At The Empire London, so his first WSOP bracelet was awarded to him.

Phil Laak performance and competence helped him a lot during this competition. He crossed a field of 243 players and managed to hold his own against his opponents during the final table by holding the second biggest stack. After the elimination of Chris Bjorin (UK), David Peters (USA), Ilan Rouah (France) and Willie Tann (UK), Phil Laak after then overturned the chip leader Andrew Pantling, his opponent during the final heads'up. After a magnificent encounter between the two players, the title and the price of £ 170,802 have been won by this American player, a victory he deserves and which has made him very happy. The first Event of the WSOP Europe is indeed closed, but four other competitions are still to come including the Main Event.
