English Poker Open: £ 219,550 awaits the winner

The nine players who will start the final table of the tournament English Poker Open being held at Palm Beach Casino in Mayfair, in London are finally known. The event attracted a field of 194 participants and 93 of them were qualified to be part of the competitors for the Day 2. During the second day of competition, the eyes of the poker community were focused on Phil Laak and Liv Boeree especially since both owned the biggest stack even after the bursting of the bubble with the elimination of Philip Oehmke as bubble boy of the party. However, spectators were disappointed because Laak was eliminated a few times after and settled for the 18th place with a gain of £ 6,800 while Boeree finished in the 12th place and cashed a price of £ 9,500. With a buy-in of £ 3,500, organizers of the English Poker Open brought together a prize pool of £ 675,000 and the lucky winner of this final table will pocket a handsome reward of £ 219,550.

Mathew Frankland leads the race for the moment with a big stack of 668,000. Sebastian Crul is in the second position with 583,500 chips in hand. The German Fabian Quoss and the Brazilian Felipe Ramos who are ranked in the 3rd and 6th place in number of chips are among the favorite competitors. And the battle promises to be tough for the finalists who will resume the race for the title and will play with blind of 5.000/10.000 ante 1000. Andrew Brennan, Mark Norman, Stephen Chimelski Brent Lehring Behbehani and Salman are also present.
