Fight against cancer: A charity tournament this September 10th
Once again, the poker community will show the world that it is full of men and women with noble and generous heart. Close collaboration between poker players and an online poker website will enable the association Vinny Lecavalier to help lead the fight against pediatric cancer. Indeed, the charity poker tournament for the benefit of Vincent Lecavalier Pediatric Cancer and Blood Discorders Center, a Florida-based center research, will be held next September 10th and an online tournament in the same framework will be played on September 12th, 2010. The goal is to raise funds for research into new technologies or drugs adequate to foreclose forever the scourge that causes the suffering of many children and parents.
During this tournament, illustrious players in the image of Annie Duke, known for her brave deeds in various charities, Joe Sebok, and many other stars of the game, celebrities and athletes will also participate in this tournament. They will gather around tables of Texas Hold'em by paying a buy-in of $ 550. There will be an opportunity to re-buy for a value of $ 100. A guaranteed prize pool of $ 100,000 is promised for the best in the competition. Thus not only the poker community will attend a magnificent championship but they will also defend a good cause : help ease the suffering of children cancer patients.
