IPPAC : Less than two months to prepare for the $ 250,000 tournament

The International Poker Players Association Championship (IPPAC) of November 29th to December 2nd, 2010 will be one of the first most expensive poker tournament ever played in the world. The amounts announced are enormous : a buy-in of $ 250,000, a huge prize pool of $ 12 million with $ 5 million to give to the winner. Audacious players who will take part in this unique event will be known as "Elite 48". A new format satellite called Equity Shootout Rebuy of $ 1,000 in maximum is available for participants to qualify for this mammoth meeting. The aim of the International Poker Players Association, or IPPA is to set up a tournament with deep base to try to find the best players in the world, according to Nanoko, manager of the Bicycle Casino.



Thirteen players who have their place in the poker world have already confirmed their entry. These are Johnny Chan, Freddy Deeb, Tony G, Bruno Fitoussi, Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, Allen Cunningham, Gus Hansen, John Hennigan, Phil Ivey, Huck Seed, Robert Mizrachi, and the November Nine Michael Mizrachi. The International Poker Players Association Championship (IPPAC) will then become the world record in term of international tournament buy-in by beating the Aussie Millions in January 2010 having until here the biggest buy-in. 24 players paid each other $ 100,000 to participate, with a total prize pool of $ 2.4 million. The final duel was won by Dan Shark on Phil Ivey in the head's up, winning $ 1.2 million.
